October Weddings
An Outdoor October Wedding in Vermont: Darlene & Denise
Rolling mountain views and golden leaves set the perfect backdrop for Darlene and Denise’s beautiful outdoor October wedding. Their special day was the epitome of joy, laughter, and heartfelt moments shared with their closest friends and family at our barn venue in northern Vermont. From their first look to the last dance, every element of their day reflected warmth, community, and genuine love.
A Beautiful Outdoor October Wedding Ceremony
After guests arrived from Sterling Ridge Resort, everyone made their way down to the outdoor ceremony site: our post and beam pavilion, offering both shelter and open-air charm – a hallmark of our Vermont farm wedding venue. The ceremony space was serene and simple, allowing the natural autumn beauty of northern Vermont to shine. Surrounded by sweeping views of the golden hills rolling in the distance and the quiet rustle of fall leaves, the setting was nothing short of magical.

Cocktail Hour & A Barn Wedding Reception
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour with drinks served up by Fluid Bar Service. As loved ones mingled and took in the views, Darlene and Denise made the most of golden hour. As they posed for group shots, sweet couple portraits, and candid moments with friends and family, each moment was expertly captured by Adam Frehm of Love Buzz Photography.

Grand Entrance & First Dance Together
As the shadows grew longer and the October night grew chillier, the celebration moved inside our wedding barn. The rustic charm of our space created a warm and welcoming atmosphere as Darlene and Denise made their grand entrance and had their first dance together, an intimate and joy-filled moment that drew everyone in. As they danced under the warm glow of the barn lights, you could feel the love and ease between them. It was a truly beautiful start to an evening that only grew more vibrant.

Dinner & More Dancing
Afterwards, guests settled down for dinner. Laughter echoed through the rafters and the scent of wood-fired pizza filled the air, thanks to the mouthwatering creations from caterer Pizza Veritá. The dance floor was packed all evening, thanks to Peak Entertainment, who kept the energy high and the playlist perfectly tuned to the crowd. Whether folks were dancing, mingling by the bar, or cozying up outside, there was no shortage of connection and celebration.

Darlene and Denise always kept their guests in mind when planning their day, ensuring it was a celebration everyone could enjoy. Their outdoor October wedding was a perfect reflection of the couple’s fun-loving spirit and thoughtfulness. As an LGTBQ+ friendly wedding venue, we were honored to have been chosen for their special day and to be a small part of their story. We wish them all the joy in the world on this next chapter together!
A Modern Fall Wedding in Vermont: Maddie & Kyle
Nestled in the picturesque rolling hills of northern Vermont, The Barn at Boyden Farm hosted a truly enchanting modern fall wedding celebration for Maddie and Kyle in early October. Maddie and Kyle were super organized and planned each part of their wedding weekend incredibly well with the expert help of Harlow & Dahlia Events. Despite the onset of some rainy fall weather, every moment of this magical wedding weekend was infused with the warmth and charm.
Welcome Dinner on a Fall Evening
The weekend festivities kicked off with a delightful welcome dinner at The Barn at Boyden Farm the night before the wedding. Family and close friends who had traveled from near and far gathered to share in the excitement and anticipation of the upcoming nuptials. The evening was made even more memorable with the culinary delights provided by Pizzeria Verita’s catering services, perfectly complemented by the flowing libations from Fluid Bar Services and the sweet indulgence of Ben & Jerry’s iconic ice cream catering truck.

First Look at Sterling Ridge Resort
On the morning of the wedding day, the skies threatened rain, but the beauty of the occasion was undeterred. Maddie and Kyle embarked on their cherished “first look” moment at the stunning Sterling Ridge Resort, a wonderful local collaborator of ours for wedding lodging weekends. This picturesque resort served as an absolute fabulous location, providing the perfect backdrop of fall foliage and mountain views for the couple’s unforgettable first Vermont wedding moments.

A Modern Fall Wedding With a Touch of Rain
Despite the weather, the couple’s rainy outdoor wedding ceremony unfolded with grace and resilience beneath the shelter of The Barn at Boyden Farm’s post and beam pavilion. Maddie and Kyle were absolute troopers, embracing the fall drizzle with unwavering spirits, while their cherished guests remained protected by the pavilion’s roof. The floral designs, courtesy of the talented artisans at Tipsy Tulip Designs, added a modern touch of natural beauty to the proceedings as the couple exchanged vows and said “I do”.

Staying Dry at the Indoor Barn Reception
Following the outdoor ceremony, guests headed inside to the warmth and elegance of the indoor barn wedding reception. Guests were treated to a seated family-style dinner, expertly prepared and catered by Good Grocery, accompanied by tantalizing signature cocktails, once again expertly crafted by Fluid Bar Services. The lively atmosphere was further elevated by the energetic beats of Premier Entertainment, who kept the dance floor alive with infectious rhythms throughout the night.

Despite the challenges posed by the rainy weather, Maddie and Kyle’s modern fall wedding and weekend was an incredibly heartwarming and memorable affair – a true testament to the enduring power of love and the unwavering spirit of celebration. From the welcome dinner and outdoor ceremony to the lively barn reception, every element came together in perfect harmony and was expertly captured by Jessica Lyn Photography.
