At the end of September, The Barn at Boyden Farm had the pleasure of hosting Nicole and Will’s elegant fall wedding. Nestled in the serene landscape of northern Vermont, our venue provided the perfect backdrop with its early fall foliage colors, sweeping mountain views, and rustic charm. With an intimate guest list of fewer than 100 people, the celebration was both personal and exquisite, showcasing the natural beauty of northern Vermont and the refined elegance of our indoor-outdoor wedding venue.
An Elegant Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
As guests arrived from Smugglers Notch Resort, Nicole and Will made their way to their outdoor ceremony site at our post and beam pavilion, a charming space that perfectly framed the couple as they exchanged vows against a backdrop of fields and mountains. Adding to the enchantment was the wedding arbor, adorned with lush greenery and delicate white roses by A Blooming Affair. This simple yet sophisticated design brought a touch of timeless elegance to the ceremony, harmonizing beautifully with the surrounding landscape. Danielle Allendorf Photography captured every moment beautifully, from the tender glances during the vows to the radiant smiles of the newlyweds as they said “I do”.
Cocktail Hour & Reception at the Wedding Barn
The reception was a delightful continuation of the day’s festivities. Guests moved seamlessly from the ceremony to the barn and patio for cocktail hour, where they were treated to a farm-to-table spread catered by The Hindquarter and expertly crafted cocktails by Fluid Bar Service. This combination of exquisite food, drink, and the joyous company set the stage for an evening of celebration.
Inside the rustic barn, the décor continued the theme of elegance and simplicity. The interior was transformed with stunning arrangements of greenery and white roses, creating a serene and enchanting atmosphere. Ben Laurence at VT Audio Visual enhanced the ambiance with a thoughtfully designed lighting installation that added warmth and depth to the space. The intimate setting allowed for a beautifully arranged table design and an open floor plan that encouraged mingling and connection among guests.
Dancing the Night Away
After dinner was served, the barn’s dance floor came alive with energy. Supersounds DJ curated a playlist that kept everyone on their feet, dancing and celebrating the newlyweds – only pausing for dessert. Sweet Simone’s Bakery from Richmond, a venue favorite, created an array of delicious desserts for guests to choose from, with the flowers on the cake matching those in Nicole’s bouquet. The combination of good music, great company, and the enchanting setting made for unforgettable memories – as did the dreamy sunset that evening.
The following day, everyone reconvened at The Barn for a wonderful Sunday brunch. Poor House Pies from Underhill provided an array of donuts and a delicious brunch buffet, offering a perfect end to the weekend’s celebrations. The brunch was a delightful way for guests to relax, reminisce, and continue celebrating Nicole and Will’s new journey together.
Nicole and Will’s elegant fall wedding at The Barn at Boyden Farm captured the essence of love, community, and northern Vermont’s natural beauty. Every detail, from the stunning florals to the delightful farewell brunch, was thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed. We were thrilled to provide the perfect wedding venue for Nicole and Will at The Barn at Boyden Farm, and we wish them all the best as they embark on this exciting new chapter of married life together!
